On Thursday our school football team competed in the second round of the Evo Soccer League. The boys negotiated the group stages against St Mary's 'B', Edenderry PS, Bridge Integrated and Abercorn 'B' only conceding one goal to win the group. The boys then played Kilkeel PS in the semi final winning 2-0 and progressed to the final against Abercorn PS. This was a wonderful match with both sides showing great ability but the teams could not be separated, with the match finishing 0-0. To avoid a penalty shoot out maximum points were awarded to both teams. After two rounds Tandragee sit  at the top of the league with 13 out of 16 points. Great effort boys.

Thursday 24th September was the first round of the Banbridge 7-a-side Evo Soccer League. After some hard fought group games against Poyntzpass PS, Abercorn 'B' and St Mary's the boys found themselves in the semi final against Abercorn 'A'. The boys played extremely well but the match finished 0-0 and had to be decided on the flick of a coin. In this instance the coin favoured Tandragee and the boys went through to the final against St Marys Banbridge. The group game against St Marys had been a very well matched 0-0 draw but in the final Tandragee hit the bar twice and the post twice but couldn't get the ball in the net. As the match entered the final stages St Mary's produced a wonderful goal to seal the victory. This was a great start to the year and a super effort from the boys.
